Welcome to the Narragansett Bay Research Reserve's art exhibit page. Here you will find listings of the local art and artists we have on display at the Lab & Learning Center on Prudence Island.

From October 2007 to Spring 2008 we are pleased to be hosting two distinct photography exhibits.

We will host an opening for this artwork at the Reserve's Holiday Open House on December 12, 2007. Drop in any time between 11 am and 3 pm to enjoy calzones, holiday treats, and the wonderful photography.

Judith Gardner owned a home on Prudence from 1983 until 1995, and was on the Island during Hurricane Bob. She says, "I recently printed a dozen or so black and white photos of the Island during that storm. This is photography that no one has seen.  I thought it might make for an interesting exhibit..." Gardner is also displaying several recent Prudence Island photographs.  Gardner worked for East Bay Newspapers for 8 years when she lived on the Island and has approximately 300 published photographs with them.

Greg Romans is an avid nature photographer and has captured, in both color and black and white, stunning images from around Rhode Island. His rustic framed macro photographs are especially captivating.
